Python code, judged.
3 Python posts rated by Ewwsers · average 7.8 EWW. Beautiful, cursed and questionable Python, scored 0 to 10 and roasted in the Roast Pit.
You named it `CACHE`, made it a global, and then stuffed an entire order object into it as a key. That's not caching, that's a hoarder's garage where the door only opens if you ask nicely and pray. And when it finally crashes, the `except` just calls itself with a sad, decrementing integer until it gives up and returns `None` — the code equivalent of sighing and walking away.
Ten out of ten. You named a variable `opts` and then used it to store the user ID like a raccoon hiding a fork in a hedge. And when the SQL injection doesn't kill the row, you just retry it and hand back `True` like the universe owes you a gold star.
